Bad Moon Rising is a multi-author fan fiction archive for Supernatural stories based on any of the characters from the show. We accept stories of all Ratings and Genres including Real Person Fiction.
A few simple guidelines for story placement but first and foremost, please only choose one main category for your story:
1. All Dean/Sam fics are to be submitted in the Wincest category.
2. Dean or Sam with an OMC or other male character is to be submitted in the Slash category.
3. J2 fics are to be submitted in the J2 category.
4. Het fics based with Jensen or Jared are to be submitted in the Het category.
5. Slash fics with either Jensen or Jared with another RL person should be submitted in the Slash category with the RL person's name in the Story Notes.
6. Dean/Jared or Sam/Jensen or any variation thereof are to be submitted to the XO SN/J2 category.
The archive is open to all for browsing and reading stories, but if you'd like to add your work to the site, save authors as your favorites or review a story, you must have your own account. Member accounts are free and easy to register.
Everything is automated, so you can post your stories, review and rate other stories instantly. Currently stories are not moderated, so please make sure your story is beta'd before posting to the site. We are not overly strict and expect absolute perfection, but we would like to see that you have made an effort to correct any possible grammar, spelling and punctuation problems with your story first.
If you find the background color of this Archive to dark, feel free to change it by going to the Layout Options on the bottom of the navigation panel on the left and changing it from Dark to Light Water.

Review Notification
If you wish to be notified of any reviews that are left on your stories, feel free to login and go to Edit Preferences. The first question it asks you is if you want to be notified of reviews so check that button and hit submit to get an email when someone leaves you some nice words!
Update and a Plea to Authors
I have separated the Wincest and J2 categories and created another category called XO - SN/J2 for crossovers with Dean/Jared or any variation thereof.
What I am aiming for is One Main Category for each fic and as many subcats under that Category that covers what is in your story. If anyone can think of another Main Category that will accomplish this, please respond here and let me know.
What you need to remember when you enter a story: Pick a Main Category and hit the > to add it to the Selected Categories box on the right. Pick a subcat and hit > to add it to the box on the right. If you need more subcats, hit Back to Main Categories in the left box, click on your Main Category and pick the next subcat, hit the > to add it to the box on the right. Do this as many times as necessary to get all your subcats in the Selected Categories box. In the end, you should have your Main Category at the top of the Selected Box with all your subcats listed under it. No fic should have more than one Main Category.
