Hurt/Comfort [2] The Hurt/Comfort formula plot. Usually a premise to make characters have sex.
Missing Scene/Episode-Related [0] When a fic is written during a "missing scene" in the canon, supposedly to "fill us in" to what really happened. Sometimes written as M/s.
POV [0] Point Of View, specifically in fanfic, a type of story told first-person from a character's point of view.
PWP [0] Acronym for Plot? What Plot? A story written as with absolutely no plot or context. Means "Porn without plot" in pairing categories.
Romance [1] Otherwise Called Shipping, a pairing that the writer believes should be romantically involved.
Smarm [0] A type of story starring characters, usually of the same gender, who care and worry about each other a LOT.
Songfic [0] A story based entirely around the lyrics of a song.
Vignette [0] Used in fan fiction to designate a short piece that centers on a character’s experiences, or on a particular moment of a relationship between characters; a short piece about a moment in the character( s ) lives.
